Exile furnace  smelting method: The chemical composition, phase composition and specific gravity of brown fused alumina produced by the exile smelting method are equivalent to brown fused alumina produced by tilting furnace smelting method. The crystal size, microhardness, crystal structure and compressive strength are slightly lower than brown fused alumina produced by tilting furnace smelting method. This is because the brown fused alumina produced by the exile method with a characteristics of microcrystalline corundums, although it is slightly lower, but it shows also good results in application.
